In 2009, Frederik Van den Bosch obtained a master in communications at the University of Leuven. His master thesis explored a new breed of videogames with a focus on the creation and sharing of user-created content. After his university study he enrolled in a one-year course desktop publishing and graphical design. During his studies and afterwards Frederik was also active as a freelance game journalist for the Official Dutch PlayStation Magazine.
In 2011, he worked for seven months as a junior researcher on the IBBT project 3DTV 2.0. As of September 2011, Frederik is a research and teaching assistant at the Department of Communication Sciences under the supervision of prof. dr. Sofie Van Bauwel.
